Gilgil Stadium, The New National Youth Center in Nakuru

Gilgil Stadium was on Saturday 10th June 2023 officially documented as one of the FKF Youth Centers in Kenya by Mr. Chris Amimo who is the National Youth Committee Chairman (NEC) . He commissioned the center by giving out 20 football balls and 36 bibs. He did promise to provide cones and space markers.

Our esteemed guest of honour Mr Amimo who was impressed by the talents in Gilgil  promised to fund a trip to Nairobi for the selected  Gilgil Youth all stars who will be playing against their peers in Nairobi within a month. Mr. Francis Oliele, Nakuru County FKF chair who was on board to receive the National Chairman reiterated that the youth committee was on a mission to see the existence of such youth centres all over the country.

Other officials present were Gilgil subcounty FKF office and center manager, coaches, team managers and referees from the federation.

We applaud the good gesture from our National Youth Committee Chairman Mr. Chris Amimo and our county chairman Mr Oliele and his formidable team for spearheading and conseptualizing that wonderful exercise.
